We already know that the idea of body-swapping will be a big part of the movie. The first time this was alluded to was in the post-credits sequence in Ms. Marvel, where Kamala switches places with Captain Marvel rather than changing her shape. The first teaser later verified this, with Danvers, Kahn, and Rambeau perfecting their ability to swap between them in order to rescue the day.
The storyline indicates that the three protagonists’ light-based abilities have led to some form of quantum entanglement, and the trailers confirm this claim. Given that the word “quantum” obviously refers to the Quantum Realm, it undoubtedly has significant meaning for Marvel fans. That area of the MCU has been thoroughly explored in the Ant-Man movies. Rumor has it that Kamala Khan’s bracelet is the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s take on the Nega-Bands from the comics. One band was recovered on a dead Kree body, therefore Ms. Marvel proved that while one was present on Earth, the other was missing and most likely in the hands of the Kree.
Working as a team will undoubtedly be simple for S.A.B.E.R agent Monica and superhero mega-fan Kamala, but it could be more difficult for Carol, who is known for preferring to work alone. As members of S.A.B.E.R., Nick Fury and his wife Varra were seen departing Earth in the last moments of Secret Invasion to broker a peace meeting with the Kree. It is also known that Monica will work with Fury at the beginning of the film while she is a S.A.B.E.R. astronaut. Could Carol and her connection with him become tense?
