The Equalizer, a movie directed by Antoine Fuqua and based on the 1985–1989 television series of the same name, was released in 2014. Denzel Washington, who of course already had an entire armory of this sort of action films to his name in the past, was picked to assume the character of Robert McCall, which actor Edward Woodward played in the series. The fact that he reteams with Dakota Fanning in this third installment of The Equalizer is amusing. In 2004, they co-starred in the movie Man on Fire, but Fanning was only 10 years old at the time.

The storyline is rather simple and predictable. The action in this movie shifts to Sicily in Italy. When McCall is gravely hurt in Sicily, local agent Gio Bonucci rescues him and brings him to the area’s medical professional Enzo Arisio. McCall visits and makes friends with the residents. The mafia has merely decimated the community, but McCall will obviously not allow that to happen immediately. The movie goes on for a very long time explaining everything. Everything begins on the wine estate, where McCall is hunting down and killing dangerous offenders. The action sequences sometimes merely shown in a nasty manner, leaving no room for the imagination.

After thereafter, the movie significantly slows down and focuses on McCall’s rehabilitation and how he makes friends with the locals. It is obvious that Emma Collins, a CIA operative, will find McCall swiftly after receiving his anonymous tip. McCall, meantime, observes with sadness as the mob exerts significant pressure on the local populace. Of course, you realize right once that it was a mistake to tamper with McCall. The majority of the movie looks to be a protracted advertisement for Italy, and many spectators would get a holiday vibe from it.

The graphics are breathtakingly gorgeous and arresting, which improves the mood of the movie. However, there is room for criticism regarding the antagonists of the novel because we cannot state with certainty that they pose a significant threat to McCall. But Emma Collins, a CIA operative, also plays no other roles in the movie. As a result, you’ll frequently ponder why she gets so much screen time. It doesn’t really offer value, however it’s not really irritating either.

The Equalizer 3 may not be as outstanding as the first installment’s excellent quality, but it is in every way superior to the second installment’s lackluster quality.
