Story
The Apple TV+ series Hijack’s story unfolds in an expedited manner from the moment we learn that a group of five hijackers is prepared to seize control of the aircraft. The thieves had intended to carry out the hijack several hours later, but after learning that there were bullets on the plane, they decided to carry it out immediately.
Sam emerges as the main character in the “negotiations” with the hijackers, and his strategy has previously been discussed in this article. It is necessary to clarify why the plane was hijacked, which is something that remains unexplained for the majority of Hijack’s narrative until the conclusion. In the second part of the series, we learn that the plot included the release of two prominent organized crime lords; it appears that at that point, the plane was hijacked as a means of obtaining their release from jail.
The true reason the plane was kidnapped was a big financial exchange that would take place once the news about the hijack became public, according to the concluding episode of Hijack. As predicted, the stock price of the airline would plummet if this information is made public. A gang of financial traders intended to short those stocks in order to benefit greatly from the transaction. To sum up, it is the primary reason for the hijack that is shown in the storyline.
One group of people who will profit greatly from this financial transaction is the mob leaders. The jet is meant to be controlled by the five hijackers. The lady who murders the captain and takes the cockpit at the conclusion of Hijack was not known to the other hijackers; Amanda symbolizes a backup plan the ground-based thief had for the hijack’s final stages.
It could be difficult to understand the last episode of Hijack, thus certain details need to be clarified. When Amanda assumes control of the cockpit, she is anxiously awaiting the mafia boss’s order to safely land the aircraft as confirmation that the financing transaction has been completed and the hijack has achieved its goal. But as the stock declines obsessively, the boss becomes avaricious and chooses to put off the message indefinitely since he knows that the more it declines, the more money he will make. In the end, he says he’s willing to let the jet crash if it means they’ll make more money.
However, that was not the traders’ intended strategy. The other criminals assassinate the mafia leader when they see he has lost power and approve the deal. Unfortunately, no one tells Amanda that she may now safely land the plane since something went wrong on the ground and the boss’ unanticipated death cut off connection with the plane. Amanda is meant to crash the plane in the heart of London if he doesn’t deliver his message.
In this summary of the action, we may state that Sam and the air control personnel are to credit for the pleasant conclusion to Hijack. Without any major incidents, the plane lands, and the hijackers are apprehended. Sam can think of his part as being through, and Hijack hasn’t said what he plans to do with his ex-wife and son, but that’s a story point we weren’t supposed to be following.
The drama in the air is substantially more dramatic than that on the ground, at least until the fifth episode, which is the main drawback Hijack has as a TV limited series. For most of the series, I couldn’t wait to return to KA29 and watch how a business negotiator would deal with terrorists so she could return home. Naturally, the show succeeds in creating tension outside of the captives on the plane as the government begin to hunt for the organized criminal gang that was responsible for the hijacking and as Sam’s family is targeted by the group.
Hijack is successful when it comes to limited series. As the viewer is propelled toward the end of the trip and, with it, the conclusion of the tale, a predetermined endpoint supports the tension. From the first few episodes to the very end, Hijack will have you on the edge of your seat with its fast-paced drama.

FAQs
How is Hijack 2023 solved?
Marsha and Kai are relieved when Sam exits the aircraft to get some fresh air. Zahra verifies the arrest of the four hijackers over the phone, but she is unaware that the merchant Alec was taken into custody rather than Stuart, who was left aboard the aircraft.
What occurred at the conclusion of the Hijack?
Although they spar a little and Stuart threatens Sam with some Bond villain insults, our man defeats him intellectually. Sam asks his ex-wife to contact him on his phone as a ruse, and she does so at the ideal time. Soon later, Sam emerges as a hero, and the show finishes with Stuart in handcuffs.
